Join us for this first annual fishing jamboree. Learn how to fish, sample what you’re catching, and get kids involved in some games! We’ll teach you the basics. Volunteers needed!

Will need a valid fishing license to fish if over 16 years of age
Cost: FREE
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Food being served 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
No Pre-registration required
Registration begins a 9:00 a.m.
There will be equipment and bait available
Park at the beach or the SE parking lot. Parking will be limited due to the Dragon Boat Races.

A skills clinic for ages 12 and younger begins Monday at area wading pools. The clinics will teach proper casting and knot tying. Equipment will be provided. Drop-in clinics run from 1 to 3 p.m.

The family day of fishing and fish fry will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 1 at Gray’s Lake Park, 2101 Fleur Drive. Instruction is available. Bring equipment if available; some will be on hand if needed. Participants 16 or older who plan to fish need a valid Iowa fishing license.
